Who Are the Oceanic 6?

There seems to be a lot of debate and confusion about who are the members of the Oceanic 6. Let me try and clear this up.

The Six are:

1. Jack


2. Kate


3. Hurley


4. Sayid


5. Aaron


6. Sun

That's it. That's the list.

The debate has been around baby Aaron and if he counts as one of the 6. I say of course he does! Lookit, when Claire got on the plane she, well, lets face it, could have had the baby somewhere over the Pacific! It doesn't matter if Aaron was on the flight manifest or not (he wasn't of course).

The title "Oceanic Six" would not have come from the survivors but from the people who found them...or the press. From their perspective, there were 6 people saved. Baby Aaron was one of them thus we have 6.

Jin is not one because he was assumed dead on impact based on his headstone.

Ben is not one because he is under cover or assuming a false identity (remember all those passports?); not to mention he wasn't on the flight.

And I'm just tellin' ya', Michael and Walt either don't make it back or are in hiding and not considered part of the 6.

As for the 2 that Jack said were rescued and died? It doesn't matter (though it's part of the lies), but one would have to be Claire (she survived, gave birth, and died) and the other could be Jin since he has a grave off-island.
