Underground polar bears and a revived Locke?

Over at EW.com, Jeff Jensen just turned in his last column of the season. While a couple of the theories he spouts off - the island jumping ahead in time, Sawyer telling Kate to find Clementine - we've already discussed, here are some interesting new ones:

Locke's death is a trick — part of the Island's plan to manipulate the Oceanic 6 into returning. When they bring Locke's body back, he'll be magically revived.

Meeehhhhh...considering Lost spent an entire year building up to the reveal of one person's death, it's highly unlikely that they would turn around and just revive him. But hey, it's possible if they're really looking to keep Terry O'Quinn throughout the run of the show. I'm assuming he'll pretty much be the central character in Season 5 - leading the Others, deciding to leave, heading to the U.S., finding the Oceanic Six - but he'll probably die at the end of the season, leaving Season Six potentially Locke-less.

We know that the cave where the Frozen Donkey Wheel is located is all icy and stuff. And we know that a polar bear was found in Tunisia, which is where Ben materialized after pushing on said Frozen Donkey Wheel. Putting two and two together, many fans have been asking: Was Dharma training its polar bears to operate the subterranean turnstile of destiny?

I like this idea a lot except for one thing: why would the F.D.W. ever need to be continuously rotated? Since turning it a few inches causes the island to (possibly) jump forward in time, some crazy stuff must have been going on if polar bears were just down there plugging away at it for long periods of time.

Jensen also makes a few bold predictions:

In light of the strong season Lost turned in, I would be shocked if the show doesn't garner nominations in at least three categories: Best Drama; Best Writing (for ''The Constant''); and Best Supporting Actor (for Michael Emerson, whose Ben was this year's MVP character).
