Theory of the Day: Miles was Talking to Ben in Code

It's time for another in my not-quite-every-day, more-like-a-few-times-a-week series of theories. This one, like the black hole theory, I can't claim I came up with, but I can finesse it a little. Here's the original theory, originally posted here:

First, Miles is one of the ‘others’. I believe proof of that is when he asks Ben ‘do you know who I work for’. Second, saying that he wants 3.2 million dollars is his way of telling Ben that our rescue crew knows the bearing to get on the island; 3-2-5 (3.2 and 5 zeroes). Ben then asks Miles why not 3.3 or 3.5 and Miles says no, 3.2 million dollars—reinforcing that they are sure of the correct bearing. Fourth, when Miles says that Ben has one week to get the money, he is saying that more people are coming to the island in one week unless action is taken to prevent it. These are just my ideas, I just thought the conversation between Ben and Miles was so bizarre that it had to have more meaning behind it.

Not bad, although I disagree with some parts of it. Miles isn't necessarily an Other, but he is an opportunist, and he's decided to cast his lot with Ben. The 3.2 million/325 connection is a neat catch that doesn't seem like too much of a stretch.

The one week deadline is a question mark. If Miles is talking in code, he definitely means to say that *something* will happen in a week, although the original theorist's idea of "more people coming to the island" is a bit fuzzy.

Any ideas on how to flesh this thing out? Either way, it's cool - if Miles was being straightforward, it was still a neat plot development.
