The TIME is Ticking

Time magazine just came out with a terrific article on Lost in honor of the show's upcoming finale. Well, to be honest, it's not full of anything the blogosphere hasn't been saying for quite some time - creating an end date was a good idea; as fun as the sci-fi angle is, it's the characters that keep us enthralled - but it's always nice when a news source my dad has heard of praises my favorite show.

The article ends thusly:

In an era of smaller audiences, networks need programs that can monetize a devoted fan base. But that requires assuring the fans--as limiting Lost's run has done--that they won't be jerked around forever. TV may be an excessive medium, but the brilliant, groundbreaking Lost may just show it that quality can beat quantity.

Amen, brother.
