''The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham'' Postmortem

Whew. I don't know where to begin when looking back at last week's episode. I'm completely torn as to how I feel about Locke (although I'm pretty sure "pity" and/or "sympathy" is starting to seep into my previously hardened heart toward the supposed island savior).

If you want the full intense run-down, read Don Jensen's mammoth analysis of the episode.

Over at Zap2It, there has been criticism and then the defense of said criticism over the hour of TV. Was the hour weak? Was it frustrating? Was it appropriate storytelling for an episode only a year away from the series conclusion? I don't know.

I don't know how I feel.

Are Ben and Widmore BOTH evil? Or did Ben kill Locke for less than evil reasons?

Is Locke really undead? Or is he the walking dead? And what is the significance of his shoes? They did belong to Christian. This means something. Most definitely.

There's a flashback. For the first time this season, Locke explains how he died through flashback storytelling. I must admit, I'm a fan of looking back.

I still love Hurley. And his reaction to Abaddon.

And then there was Walt. Not a fan of how they handled the Walt appearance, but thankful he showed up. Too bad he's practically a man. You can't work with kids on a show that doesn't pass the time as the real world does.

Whether you love the episode or not, there was some super-decent acting, especially from Matthew Fox, Terry O'Quinn.

Oh, and if Ben is bloody because he killed Penny, I will not be impressed. And will decide that Ben is forever irredeemably evil.

What did you think, Losties? Were your questions answered or were too many raised?
