Television Critics Associations loves Lost

Okay, so it's not the Emmys, but the Television Critics Association - I guess it exists - just came out with their nominations for shows airing between Summer 2007 and Spring 2008. And hey, look at that, Lost scored two big nominations. Here's what it's up against:

PROGRAM OF THE YEAR
John Adams
Lost
Mad Men
Ken Burns' The War
The Wire

OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN DRAMA
Damages
Friday Night Lights
Lost
Mad Men
The Wire

Frankly, as many fans as Lost has, The Wire and Mad Men are probably bigger critical hits, so I doubt it will win. But anything can happen.

By the way, it wasn't nominated for any acting awards, but that might be because they don't have separate categories for men and women, so it's more competitive. Here are those nominees:

INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE IN A DRAMA
Connie Britton, Friday Night Lights
Glenn Close, Damages
Paul Giamatti, John Adams
Jon Hamm, Mad Men
David Simon, The Wire

Can't really argue with any of the above choices, but let's face it: Michael Emerson owns them all.

Man, I love obsessing about random award nominations. You can check out every nominee and every category here.
