So is Sayid the President?

I figured I'd offer a quick follow-up to my "Which Lost Characters are the Presidential Candidates?" post. In it, I concluded that Sarah Palin was Nikki, Joe Biden was Frank, John McCain was Locke, and Barack Obama was Sayid.

The people have spoken: Sayid Jarrah and Frank Lapidus are now the president and vice president of the United States of America.

The U.S. has broken some heavy racial and prejudicial barriers, electing not only an Iraqi but also a former torturer. Not to mention current assassin-for-hire.

Meanwhile, the vice president is a former pilot and aging drunk with no political experience. But boy can he fly a helicopter.

In his concession speech, Locke struck a tone of civility. "As I've always believed, everything happens for a reason," he said. "Sayid fought a good fight and won. I guess I'll go off and lead the Others now."
