Nice comment by Rose about the island's healing powers. Why is Jack sick when nobody else is? Does the island not like him? And if so, why does he want to go back in the future? Something interesting to think about in an otherwise pointless-seeming plotline.
So Danielle's really dead. Alas. Killing Danielle, Karl, and Alex in one abrupt swoop seems a little dramatically irresponsible - especially since the freighter freaks had no way of knowing where they were - but I guess the writers are serious about narrowing their focus as the clock ticks.
Can the love triangle/quadrangle/whatever be over yet? Juliet (and again, the writers) seem to have figured out that a Jack/Juliet relationship just isn't going to work. Jack ends up with Kate...but whoops, in the future she has to bring Sawyer (who Jack basically confirmed to still be alive) into the fold again. Love triangle it is. Especially now that Future Jack's begun the long slow decline.
Jin's excellent perceptive skills lead him to call Charlotte out about knowing Korean. But where did that subplot leave off: with Charlotte obligated to rescue Sun? Just another piece of the puzzle for the finale, I guess.
Man, Christian Shephard was popping up all over the place, culminating in him holding Aaron. (We now know why Rock Bottom Jack kept mentioning him in his first flash-forward.) Since we last saw him in Jacob's cabin, is that where Claire went? I'm assuming next week's Locke episode occurs concurrently to the events of this episode, so if so, there's a good chance Claire will make an appearance at the end.
Another, worrisome thought: will this be the last time Claire ever sees Aaron?
Since we're now 96% sure Sawyer's still alive and on the island, it would be nice if Claire survived as well. He's developed a nice protective dynamic with her that I'd like to be explored.
"You're not even related to him!" Does this mean Jack knows he's Aaron's uncle? Considering the numerous alternative ways he could've phrased it, I'm guessing he does.
Ghosts just keep popping up, don't they? Apparently Hurley talks to Charlie, like, every day (it'd be nice to see him again, although Dominic Monaghan might still be filming Wolverine), Christian is all over the place, and it probably won't stop next week, either. Hallucinations? Manifestations of Smokey? Just plain old ghosts? They do seem to be working for the island, though.
