Questions, Spoilers and "Something Nice Back Home"

So Jack's sick. We know this. And apparently this will be a pretty big deal on this week's episode, "Something Nice Back Home":

Jack's health is seriously compromised, forcing Kate and Juliet to work together to save him. Meanwhile, something goes wrong as Sawyer, Claire, Aaron and Miles continue their trek from Locke's camp to the beach.

Kate and Juliet working together? Hmm. Any bets on what's ailing the doc? He's not pregnant, that much I know. The island doesn't bode well for expectant mothers, but so far has proved itself as a healing wonder (Locke's paralysis, Rose's cancer, Jin's infertility, etc.) Then again, Ben needed surgery.... Yeah, I'm confused. At least we know he makes it off the island. Although I doubt it will be the Freighter Folk taking him to the mainland for medical intervention.

Watch with Kristen has some pretty interesting stuff this week. From fans this time. Stuff that made me utter "Aha!" aloud. Good thing I live alone. And for the second question, she went right to Michael Emerson. If only I had a cast member on speed dial.... (If you have Henry Ian Cusick's digits, send 'em my way).

Kim in Santa Barbara, Calif.: As a big Lost fan, I wanted to make sure you saw this If the World Were a Sandwich page. Basically, if the world were a squashed-flat sandwich and you pushed a toothpick through Tunisia, the pointy end would come out in the South Pacific, just east of Australia. Coincidence? I think not! (I freaking love Lost.)

Johnny: Is Charles Widmore Ben's constant? Is that why he can't kill him?
Let's ask Michael Emerson, shall we? Said Benry himself: "Wow. That's a new notion to me. Clearly, because of what they know about each other, somehow Widmore is privy to Ben's comings and going. There's something symbiotic there. I don't know if it's physical or temporal or just...I don't know. But that's getting down to the nub of what's going on in the show. I don't know! That's a wonderful notion though." I also asked Michael how long Benjamin and Charles have been acquainted, and he told me, "I mean...sky's the limit on that question. Are they conventionally human?! You might ask. [Or] is there a quality of things being on a loop here? That's the thing that comes up to me every so often." Head. Hurts.

I'm obsessed with this "constant" idea. "Are they conventionally human?!" There have been discussions at work as to the potential agelessness of Widmore. Is he on the loop that Emerson speaks of? Clearly, he and Ben have history ("Since when do you sleep with a bottle of Scotch next to the bed?") My head hurts too, Kirsten.

Oh, and she also sort of shares some spoilers:

So much for spoilers. Guess we'll just have to tune in. Oh, darn :)
In the meantime, mull over the "sandwich" discovery. I certainly will.
