Octagon strikes again

(Off-topic: did I get the wrong impression, or did they actually interview Michael Emerson at the front door of his own house? He seems remarkably good spirited, so let's hope they actually warned him before rushing over there like Publisher's Clearing House.)

Anyway, let's get on topic. I got another e-mail today from our good friends at Octagon Global Recruiting, the company that's recruiting people to join the Dharma Initiative. (Yep, it's another one of those alternate reality games that Lost loves.) Here's what it says:

Octagon Global Recruiting, on behalf of the Dharma Initiative, is pleased to announce that Dharma's Head of Recruiting, Mr. Hans Van Eeghen, has confirmed his availability for the launch of our latest recruiting drive at Comic-Con 2008.

"My colleagues at Octagon Global Recruiting assure me that Comic-con hosts some of the brightest minds in the country," said Mr. Van Eeghen. "As Head of Recruiting it is my intention to personally assess the very best of this talent in the hope that they may join us."

The Dharma Initiative will be conducting eligibility assessments at Booth 3529 at Comic-Con, San Diego between July 24th - 27th.

Despite previously reporting to the contrary, it turns out I WILL be going to Comic-Con this year! (Cue confetti.) So I'll make sure to let Octagon Global Recruiting recruit me and tell you all how it goes.

You can sign up yourself at OctagonGlobalRecruiting.com. The e-mail also mentions that a site called DharmaWantsYou.com will go live on July 28th, and you might be able to get "recruited" there without having to go to Comic-Con at all.

Still no idea where they're headed with this, but it's a long time until Season 5, so bring it on.
