Oceanic Airlines Meets Wisteria Lane?

Gotta love the prime-time-TV crossover. ABC certainly does.

Marc Cherry, Desperate Housewives' creator and showrunner, has confirmed that a plane will crash down on Wisteria Lane as part of the show's midseason cliffhanger. And the big rumor? That said plane will be from none other than Oceanic Airlines.

Watch with Kristin reports:

The plane's Oceanic branding would just be a fun little Easter egg for Lost fans to find. And while the crossover has yet to be finalized, I'm told the higher-ups at ABC are keen on the idea.

"Everyone loved how well those 'ABC House' promos did last year," one alphabet-net mole tells me, referring to the promo spots in which characters from different ABC series mixed worlds (see above). "We're looking at ways to find more fun crossovers between shows, and so the idea came up to have the Desperate Housewives plane be Oceanic."

Here's the promo spot in question. What do you think? A fun reference for fans? Or bordering on annoying? Personally, I like my Lost references to MEAN SOMETHING. Oh, well.
