New Promo

There's a new promo out for the fifth season that looks the same at first but soon gives way to a lot of minor "hey I haven't seen that yet!" moments: Desmond with Penny, the smoke monster (or is it just an explosion?), Richard Alpert -- check it out:

From the look of things, I'm guessing Penny will appear in one or more early episode but get left behind (in a tearful, hopefully temporary goodbye) when Desmond heads back to the island. Which leaves her without much protection when Ben decides to come a-knocking and kill her.

Frank to the rescue?

Or will Penny take on Ben herself?

(Random aside: is YouTube's new widescreen layout bothering anybody else? Not the design -- that's fine. I mean technically. Whenever I go to the site and then try to navigate away from it, Firefox lags like crazy.)
