More DVD Potpourri

A few more reviews for the 4th Season DVD have popped up. Apparently it's good. Who knew?

I like Empire Online's capsule review the best, as it seems to be written by a former skeptic:

It’s unusual for a show, having arguably jumped the shark, to vault straight back over. But that’s what Lost has done. With Season 4, gone are the now-redundant flashbacks, replaced by genuinely compelling flash-forwards to a time when Jack, Kate and several others have escaped, and a gradual reveal as to how the present and future narratives converge.

A comment underneath the review also caught my eye -- a definite "couldn't have said it better myself" instance:

I think that most people would agree The Constant could easily be classed as the shows best ever episode. This episode set a standard and a theme that was maintained throughout the season, and those who were sceptical about previous seasons finally found themselves in the show that the writers originally inteneded - a compelling sci-fi drama with incredible depth, intelligence and intrigue. It may have lost its inital blockbuster following, but the true fans are now being richly rewarded.

Meanwhile, DVD Town and DVD Planet don't have real reviews up, instead relying on the same official-DVD-synopsis-type-thing. Which mentions:

This collection includes all 14 episodes from the 2007-2008 season, as well as a remarkable array of bonus materials such as a behind-the-scenes look at the show's backlot, and a live performance of the LOST score by the Honolulu Symphony Pops.

A lot of sites also quote a Total Film review that doesn't seem to exist. I've scoured their website. But in the interest of completionism, here's what they supposedly say:

As to the cliff-dangler, it's another curveball that solves old questions while spewing up a host of new ones. Quality.

What, is just saying "cliffhanger" suddenly out of style?
