More Abaddon, potentially more Abrams

Lindelof's admission that we'll be seeing more of the off-island Lapidus this season -- in that post I just wrote twenty minutes ago -- got me to do a little research into what other on-the-fence Losties might be returning, and it turned out the answers weren't hard to find.

EW's Michael Ausiello interviewed both J.J. Abrams and Lance Reddick (a.k.a. Matthew Abaddon) at the Fringe premiere and got them to admit that:

(A) Abrams doesn't want to direct the series finale of Lost because he "doesn't want to take that away" from series regular director Jack Bender, but said he'd be happy to direct a mid-season episode again. (Maybe as a cooling-down project after finishing post-production on Star Trek?)

(B) Reddick will definitely be returning to Lost for an undisclosed amount of episodes despite his series regular status on Fringe. It's presumably easier for him than for some Lost recurring characters, because since he doesn't appear on the island (yet, anyway), he can film his scenes in L.A.

Watch them admit these things on tape right here.
