Michael isn't Ben's Mole

Great post on here earlier about how Ben's mole on the freighter is Michael. There's a great chance that it is Michael. Several things line up. But I'm not so sure.

Michael and Walt left the island on Nov 27. Ben reveals he has an 'inside man' on Dec 24.

That alone makes me wonder if it really could be Michael. Yes, a lot of things line up, but as I started thinking through this and how it could have played out, I'm not so sure.

This would mean that Michael was picked up and on the freighter for less than a month. Is that enough time for a group of people looking for the island/Ben find Michael and begin to use him as a mole? Why would Michael start working for Ben all of a sudden? There's just too much to the story that we're missing for me to make that jump.

My guess, right now is that Ben is connected with Abaddon's people (whomever they may be) in a way that he knows they are after him/the island. Ben is smart and may have recruited or turned someone inside that group to be a mole.

How the re-appearance of Michael plays out when he gets back to the island? That's tough. My first thought is there's a boat problem like Desmond had. Another thought is we know that the Oceanic Six want to go back. I'm sure it's for a different motive than Michael, but I just wonder if there's always something tugging on those who leave to come back (Jacob?).

And here's the kicker for me: where's Walt? I don't believe "Taller Walt" is really Walt, so then where is he? Michael's sole purpose on the island was to be with Walt and keep him safe. What if, on the boat, that didn't happen. What if Walt died or is missing again? Michael may be compelled or "forced" to return to look for Walt or decide to find redemption.

Of course I'm quite confident that next Thursday I'll be proven completely wrong!
