Matthew Fox quits!

It's official - Lost star Matthew Fox is quitting the show.

The news broke on E! and TV Guide today, with Fox quoted as saying he "wanted to go out on top." He further explained: "Let's face it, I wanna be a movie star. A lot of TV actors make the jump to films quite well. Just look at David Caruso."

When asked how this would affect the show, he seemed unworried. "Damon [Lindelof] and Carlton [Cuse] were okay with it. They're going to kill me off, obviously. But they did hint that they might do it before we get rescued - so I don't know if off-island Jack is a clone or a fake or what. Maybe an alien."

His departure is effective immediately, so expect the death to happen in one of the first couple of episodes once Lost returns in late April.

By the way, in case you're thinking of killing yourself, this is an April Fools joke.
