Matthew Fox: Not Doing TV Again

matthewfox.jpg

We first fell in love with Matthew Fox on Party of Five. Television.

Choosing wisely, he reentered the TV world years later with Lost.

But it looks like this is the end of his perfect streak of iconic dramas. When Lost wraps next year, Fox will be saying goodbye to his television career for good. Not because he doesn't love it; he's walking away because of the lack of flexibility an hour-long affords the family man.

Fox said that flexibility will give him more time to spend with his wife and kids. "I am (43) and a father of two children, and I don't want to miss them growing up," Fox said. "I don't want to find myself 10 years from now feeling like I was an absentee father because I was so focused on my career."

Expect Fox to pursue one to two movie roles a year. Hopefully they're be a little more We Are Marshall-like and a little less Speed Racer. Here's hoping the movie career can mirror the successful TV one.
