Here's a big theory for the season finale: Locke will move the island...in time.
Okay, so I'm sure a lot of you have thought of that already, as it makes perfect sense. The fourth season has had a heavy emphasis on time travel, from "The Constant" to the wormhole/anomaly that surrounds the island. And moving the island in the physical sense wouldn't exactly solve the problem of Keamy threatening to blow it up. (I don't know how moving it in time would solve that either, but uhhh...moving on.)
What I like about this is that it's the perfect way for the on-island timeline and the flash-forward timeline to meet up for Season 5. If the island moves forward in time, it could nicely coincide with the Oceanic Six's potentially inevitable return. That conceivably means that this season could end with the Six returning to the island a few minutes after they leave.
Or...how about this: what if the island goes back in time? (Lindelof said at one point that the season finale will have us wondering how Jack and co. can possibly return.) Picture it: the Oceanic Six leave, Locke pulls of some crazy button-pushing or crank-turning or what have you in the Orchid, the sky goes purple again, Locke emerges...and...
Option #1: Did it work? he wonders. Has the island moved? He hears something in the sky and looks up: it's Oceanic Flight 815, crashing. Again.
Option #2: He finds himself in the middle of the Dharma Initiative. Suddenly, the hostiles attack...led by Charles Widmore.
Option #3: He sees something off in the distance on the other side of the island. Something big. What is it? It's the four-toed statue, only...full. Then he gets captured by the survivors of the recently-crashed Black Rock. Smash cut to black: L O S T.
