Lost writer becomes a Middleman

I hadn't even heard of ABC Family's The Middleman until I saw an ad for it a couple days ago, but apparently it's a new summer series about a hot nerdy chick who joins a secret agency, teams up with an agent known as the Middleman, and fights against lots of crazy evil stuff.

And what do you know? The brains behind the show is Javier Grillo-Marxuach, a writer from the first two seasons of Lost. He's responsible for the first two Sun & Jin episodes, the only Boone episode, and the awkwardly/awesomely titled "All the Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues," among a few others.

The Middleman doesn't sound like it has the most original plot ever (hm, Men in Black, Doctor Who, and even Fringe, the other upcoming show from a former Lost writer, sound quite similar) but the reviews have actually been solid, calling it a fun blend of comedy and sci-fi.

For those of you who'd like to check it out, the show debuts tonight at 8 (and then again at 9) on ABC Family.
