Lindelof Will Write the 'Star Trek' Sequel

Damon Lindelof Will Co-Write the Star Trek SequelLost's own Damon Lindelof has just signed onto co-write the sequel to J.J. Abrams's Star Trek alongside Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman.

Lindelof has a producing credit on the upcoming Trek movie, but presumably, his Lost duties kept him away from working on the script. Depending on how fast Paramount wants it, Lindelof could work on the script over this summer on his break before Season 6.

It is a little bit weird for Paramount to greenlight a sequel before the first movie even comes out, but I guess that's just a good sign that they know it's not a trainwreck-in-waiting.

And it's always nice to hear that Lindelof is successfully transitioning himself to other projects now that Lost is winding down (and even better to hear he's still working with Abrams, his Lost co-creator). One more season left to write and it's done! Suddenly that seems very fast...
