Life After Lost: Ian Somerhalder

Every once and I while, I mourn Boone's death all over again. I could care less about his dead sister, but I have a soft spot for the island's first victim.

At least Ian's not unemployed. Embracing the recent vampire trend, Somerhalder will be making his bloodsucking debut on CW's drama pilot "Vampire Diaries," based on a series of books ("Twilight," anyone?) about a young woman who falls for two vampire brothers. One's good, one's evil, they both drink blood. You know the drill.

Somerhalder is set to play Damon, a smug vampire who can go from playful to evil in a split second.
