Grant Bowler, the freighter captain we saw die in May's finale, has a new job. From the ship deck to the executive's office, he's moving up in the world.

Ex-Lost thesp Grant Bowler -- he played the swarthy freighter captain who was shot and killed in last May's finale -- is dropping anchor at Ugly Betty.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that the Aussie actor has been cast in the heavily recurring role of Meade Publications' CFO. "He's running the business part of the magazine," explains Betty exec producer Silvio Horta. "He's hot and cool and all the women are in love with him."
