Jorge Thanks You

Before we move on to this week’s “Confirmed Dead” episode, let’s take a moment to honor Jorge Garcia’s rather phenomenal performance in the premiere.

It’s pretty common knowledge among Lost fans that Garcia was the first cast member hired, with the role written specifically for him. And while Hurley usually gets the entertaining one-liners and quirky plot lines, his story took a pretty heart-wrenching turn last week with the discovery of Charlie’s death (no doubt even more painful after the death of his almost-girlfriend Libby not that long ago). And now that we’ve seen a glimpse of his seemingly tragic future, there’s all the more reason to have your heart break for the poor guy.

And now that you love him, know that he loves you back.

Jorge Garcia is thanking fans of the premiere on his blog. So if you’re one of them, consider yourself appreciated by Hurley.
