It's not often that my TV friends choose film projects I'm excited about. But today I read this:
Josh Holloway has joined the cast of the Polish brothers' new comedy, "Stay Cool."Holloway will co-star with Winona Ryder, Mark Polish, Sean Astin, Chevy Chase, Hilary Duff and Jon Cryer.
The project, which shoots this month in Santa Clarita, Calif., is described as a "knowing-your-age comedy," centering on a successful author (Polish) who is forced to confront an unrequited high school crush, Scarlet Smith (Ryder), when he returns home to deliver a commencement address to graduating seniors.
Talk about crazy casting. A good, intriguing crazy. It's good to see Josh branching out from his Sawyer. He's still acting alongside Hobbits, though.
May "Stay Cool" be cooler than "Speed Racer."
