Finale Thoughts Before the Premiere.

"What did you do for a living before you became Moses?"

It's almost here.

Last night, I turned off my phone (seriously, I did) and caught ABC's "Through the Looking Glass" enhanced/pop-up episode. Loved it. I don't know about you, but my brain's been a little Lost-deprived and I was in need of a decent refresher. And while I'm sure tonight's clip show will be great for getting us all up to speed, there's something about the witty little subtitles at the bottom of yesterday's episode that delighted me to no end.

"Bernard is an avid pheasant hunter." Yes, that's what the subtitle said in defending Bernard's capacity for violence when teamed with legitimate killers Sayid and Jin. Hence my delight.

It was like rereading a good book. There were new details to be seen, new connections to be made. (And I still cringe at Jack's beard. Was I the only one to find it a little fake?) Oh, how I loved last season's finale. I could wax poetic all day. But I won't, as I'm planning on spending two hours this evening curled up in front of my TV. With my phone turned off. Again.

Highlights from "Through the Looking Glass," according to me:

Your thoughts?

So we're left with a leader with shifting motivations. It's not just about rescue anymore; he's got revenge on his mind. Pride comes before....

"We have to go back." And a plane flies overhead.

Tune in tonight, folks. Should be good.

P.S. Moses never made it into the Promised Land. Hmm.
