Faraday Alert!

I was watching The Colbert Report last night when the guest, author of The Ten Most Beautiful Experiments George Johnson, uttered the following:

Michael Faraday probably isn't a very well-known, household name, but Faraday was a great scientist in the early nineteenth century.

Not a household name? Wrong, sir! Michael Faraday was the inspiration for Daniel Faraday, the nutjob/scientist played by Jeremy Davies on Lost! (I'm not making that up - it's a reference just like Charlotte's name being C.S. Lewis and Abaddon's name meaning Destruction or Angel of the Abyss.)
