EW's interview with Lindelof and Cuse: A "Mind-Blowing Scoop"

Those jerks at Entertainment Weekly continue to get all the awesome Lost coverage (I'm only a little bit jealous) and sat down with Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse to get some answers. It'll show up in the newest issue, but it's also on their website right here. Here, however, are the highlights:

-By the end of episode 7 (the last episode before a four-week break), we'll know who all of the Oceanic 6 are.

-There's no plot connection between Naomi's bracelet and Elsa's (the woman Sayid killed).

-To the more sci-fi attuned theory makers: the flash-forwards do not represent some alternate, possible future. They represent the real future, what actually happens.

-At the same time, ""We're not going to tell you that we're against bending the time/space continuum," Lindelof says. The fifth episode of the season (airing February 28th) "deals with time travel and operates in different time periods." You guessed it - it's a Desmond episode.

-The Lost video game and the "Find 815" internet game are not canon. The "Lost: Missing Pieces" mobisodes are, but none of the ancillary material is whatsoever necessary.

-By the end of the season:

-Carlton Cuse on the overall scope of Season 4: "This year, it's all about the castaways' relationship to the Freighter folk. Since day one, their goal has been to get off the Island. Now our heroes will find themselves defending the very island they wanted to leave. The future hints at the fact that these folks have a deeper connection to the Island than they themselves realized."

-Yes, their "official" term is Freighter Folk.
