Even More "Eggtown" Musings

Someone was eating fried eggs on the subway this morning. I kid you not. Of course, this spiraled me into an even greater preoccupation with last night's episode, "Eggtown." So good.

I, too, called the Aaron thing only a few minutes in. And, as I predicted earlier, I'm thrilled that Aaron made it off the island. I'm assuming Claire didn't. Which I also called. We can't have those two hogging two spots in the Oceanic Six. And notice how Aaron called Kate "Mommy."

Reviews of last night's episode were pretty mixed among my friends (and critics). Personally, I was a fan. Probably because Kate's one of my favorite survivors. And because it actually answered questions: Who is waiting for Kate in the Season 3 finale? Her son. Who is her son? Claire's baby, Aaron. (So, no, it's not Sawyer's).

My thoughts (which, yes, may be slightly similar to the thoughts before me. Because great minds think alike):

Harold Perrineau is still in the opening credits. Which means he'll be back. Soon.
Finally, we get an answer to the question as to why Kate isn't in jail in the future. Thank you, writers, for acknowledging my concerns.
I've always been on Team Kate, but this running back and forth between men is starting to wear on my brain. Maybe she's setting up Sawyer to be a more sympathetic character. I kinda felt for the guy when she walked out on him. Maybe the writers are about to kill him off? Rumor has it that someone will die soon.
I'm assuming Jack knows that Aaron's his nephew. So there has to be a pretty sinister/twisted reason as to why he doesn't want to see him. It's more than just sadness. Everything is pretty secretive. What are they covering up?
Only eight survived the crash? Why do they need to maintain that lie? And who are the two they claimed died later on?
How can Kate claim that Aaron is her son? I'm assuming they'd have some sort of record to indicate that she wasn't pregnant at the time of her flight. And yet, they would notice the age of the baby coincides with being born shortly after the disaster. Anyone doing birth math would know that this does not add up. Unless the island is Narnia and time as we know it doesn't apply. Which is probably the case.
Jack said he lied on the stand. Yes, about the survivors and the heroics, but perhaps also about not loving Kate anymore. The guy's still smitten.
How can Ben access $3.2 million in a week? And why that number? More Lost math.
Miles to Kate: "If I were you, I'd stay right on the island. Who knows? Maybe you didn't survive the crash." Did the non-Oceanic Six take his advice and stay, essentially faking their own deaths?
The episode opens with Locke serving Ben breakfast (eggs). There's talk of him cooking for everyone. And then he leaves Miles with an explosive between his teeth. "Enjoy your breakfast." Hmm.
Locke claims he's responsible for the well-being of the island. Pride before a fall? I'm about 150% sure that he's not one of the Six. But with this show, 150% may not be good enough.
How does Desmond's vision of Claire play into this? Not that getting into a helicopter means safety. Speaking of which, are our helicopter friends really missing? Or are they being held hostage somewhere, a scripted response over the walkie distracting Jack and friends from the truth?

So many questions. Television makes you think.

Any thoughts? Any answers to the questions that will probably haunt me until the very last episode of the series?

3.2 million could be a code meaning 325 (the five being the number of zeros in 3 200 000) which is the bearing used to get onto the island.

Weather this code is a threat or a warning is yet to be seen.
