Desmond Hume wins Lost Madness!

The voting is now over, and it turns out Desmond Hume, portrayed by actor Henry Ian Cusick, has won LOST MADNESS, the bracket challenge created by the Washington Post to discover the most popular Lost character.

I was a big proponent of Sayid throughout this race and I'm proud to see him make it to the final two - and not to be a nitpicker, but it's worth pointing out that he had a much tougher bracket than Desmond did. Sayid knocked out Michael, Locke, Jack, Sawyer, and Charlie...whereas Desmond knocked out, uh, Charles Widmore, Penny Widmore, the Smoke Monster, Danielle, and Ben. Except for that last one...woo-hoo. (Follow that link above to re-visit all of the match-ups and showdowns.)

I get that he's a fan favorite, and I love the guy too, but ask yourself this question: who wins in a fight between Sayid and Desmond? It's not even close.

Anyway, the bracket was a lot of fun - a lot more fun than the real March Madness, anyway. I hope they do it next year, too. Who needs basketball when you've got Lost?

I think the reason Sayid lost was because of last weeks episode. He was very uncool and unlike Sayid by snitching on Michael. I think it may have hurt him... especially considering it wasnt that close!
