Chemistry: There's Something About Kate

I love how fans are so loyal. And yet so divided. There's something very Ross and Rachel about Jack and Kate (I mean, she stitched him up in the pilot. That's gotta bond you for life), but the writers don't seem to be into formula. Or into giving us what we want. So while I'm on Team Jate, I'm not really expecting a happy ending for them. Unless there's some major time shift and the plane doesn't crash, and neither of them have any demons in their respective closets. Doubtful.

Over at EW.com, readers have sent in their favorite "TV Castmates with Perfect Chemistry." Not surprisingly, both Jack and Kate AND Sawyer and Kate made the list.

Kate [Evangeline Lilly] and Sawyer [Josh Holloway] on Lost have enough heat to melt every polar ice cap around. The scene where he asks for a kiss in payment for telling the truth about Shannon's inhaler makes my toes curl it's so hot! And Maggie and Dr. Joel Fleischman are in the hall of game! —wuzcool

Jack Shephard [Matthew Fox] and Kate Austen [Evangeline Lilly] from Lost. I've never seen anyone with so much chemistry; they really make you love the couple and their skill to act together. —Alessia

What about Penny and Desmond, people? Did you not see the finale? Or the greatest episode ever, "The Constant"? Sheesh. Such blinders....
