Before She Was Lost: Evangeline Lilly

Sorry, folks, for the lack of Lost news. Slow day for a show in hiatus.

Instead, as posted over at The Bosh, we shall look at Evangeline Lilly's pre-acting career. Like Lilly, I'm Canadian. And I happen to have a family member who is retired from Air Canada. So Evangeline and I are practically best friends now. Just for being semi-familiar with the airline. Not that she's raving about her experience as a flight attendant....

"I did it for a month and then quit. To me, flying is a constant battle. When I get on a plane, I go into war mode and think: 'I’ve got to get through this.'

"I didn't like the wear and tear on my body and psyche. Being up in those altitudes and working across different time zones really does take it out of you. It's not healthy. I could feel that instantly."

However, the 28-year-old Canadian claimed that working as a mechanic in the freezing cold was much more difficult, Digital Spy reports.

"I was a mobile grease monkey," she said. "I'd drive a one-tonne truck to parking lots and work on vehicles. It wasn't glamorous."

And in other Lilly news, she was spotted hanging out with Dominic. Still no confirmation of a Kate/Charlie wedding. That is all.
