Abrams' Magical Mystery Box

J.J. Abrams has a box in his office. "Tannen's Magical Mystery Box." There's a giant question mark on it. It has never been opened.

Among Lost fans, J.J. Abrams is a hero. I've even called him my career crush. A master storyteller, he keeps the focus on character while mapping out the captivating mysteries that spark passionate discussion, debate and speculation among fans and critics alike.

He recently spoke of his "mystery box" and his obsession with the infinite possibilities each blank page represents. It's a must-watch for those fascinated with the man's brain. Of course, I also read into his preoccupation with boxes and their construction as a direct connection to the box company Locke works for and Hurley owns (I'm assuming here that they're the same one. Although in Abrams' world, you never know).

He gives some pretty interesting insight into story and what inspires him. Oh, and there's a rather amusing (non-Lost-related) tidbit about Tom Cruise's nose.
