A Newcomer Refresher

Less than an hour to go....

It's almost back. My Thursday nights have purpose once again (although I must admit that I prefer a 9:00 time slot over the new later one). While waiting for the show's return, I've been doing some Lost surfing and refreshing my poor Desmond-deprived brain.

Over at Entertainment Weekly, there's a pretty fantastic photo gallery of the season's fresh faces, reminding us of any background info we may have forgotten over the hiatus.

While the Freighter Folk as a group have yet to completely win me over, they certainly are keeping things interesting. Charlotte's polar-bear discovery intrigues me greatly. Frank's original-pilot issue is compelling. And I completely agree with Doc Jensen's description of Miles:

Straume is an intense, hilariously snarky, and possibly-nastier-than-he-looks piece of work.

I'm quite comfortable admitting that Daniel Faraday is my favorite newcomer. By far. Apparently I have a soft spot for quirky time-traveling physicists.

Charles Widmore
creeps me out. Just as Ben once did. (Why are creepy men fathers to rather sensational daughters? I love Alex and Penny).

Of the list, Captain Gault and Dr. Ray still feel like strangers. And Matthew Abaddon is pure mystery.

Tune in tonight and maybe we'll get better acquainted....
