A bit more about Octagon Global Recruiting

Lost appeared to be kicking off another alternate-reality Internet game when a cryptic commercial during the Season 4 finale advertised a Dharma Intiative-related company called Octagon Global Recruiting. All we knew then was that the company said it would be showing up in San Diego from July 24-27 -- during the annual Comic-Con shindig.

Looks like we still have to wait until then to see where they're going with this, but everyone who visited OctagonGlobalRecruiting.com and inputed their e-mail address (you can still do it) got an e-mail recently from one of their "recruiters."

It fills in a few of the details, saying that at Comic-Con, they'll be "offering select registrants the opportunity to take an exciting aptitude test that will give applicants the chance to demonstrate their unique talents. The Dharma Initiative hopes you will be able to join us to find out more about their ground-breaking new research project. We will contact you closer to the date with more information." The full text of the e-mail can be found here. (I got a kick out of the seriousness of the Dharma fine print.)

One more wrinkle: the e-mail is CC'd to somebody named Hans Van Eeghen. If you send him an e-mail (thanks to Lostpedia for this info), you'll get an automated message back that says "Thank you for your email. I am currently on assignment in the field. I will contact you as soon as I am back in the office."

Not much to get excited about yet, but enough to keep us intrigued until we hear reports back from Comic-Con next month.
